President's Report

Our December Meeting (Dec 6th) is at Camp Aldersgate!

I love this time of year.  It is a time of thanks and marks the beginnings of the holiday season.  I usually get to spend time with family and cook the old family recipes (the right way).  I wish each of you the best and hope to see you for our next meeting.

Let me congratulate all of the winners in our big 2017 Sportsman’s Raffle.  Our $1,000 Grand Prize this year went to Pinnacle Valley Restaurant.  They received their ticket in their sponsorship packet.  What a great deal!  Thanks to Mark Eley for his huge effort and enthusiasm.

We had a Technical Award, entered last year, win first place at Society.  This is a huge deal, and to my memory the first time it has ever happened.  Congratulations to Mike Fullerton and the team on the Pineville Enterprise Energy Management Phase 1 project.  Applications for this are taken by ASHRAE every year.  If your team would like to apply, Ron McCarty will be asking for applicants later in the year.  This is a chance to make your project stand out!

We will have pork butt sales again this year, so keep that in mind.  We also have a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament supporting ASHRAE Research December the 7thand it should be a lot of fun!

All of the things happening in ASHRAE has been made possible from volunteers.  Thank you to everyone that gives of themselves to make our chapter great.

Our December Meeting is at Camp Aldersgate.  I hope to see everyone there!

I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I began my career with Price Industries after graduation as a design engineer for one of Price’s special design groups. This transitioned into a chilled beams design group and I later moved into the Product Application Specialist role where I am currently situated. I am coming up on five years with Price and have worked on hundreds of chilled beams projects in my time here at Price.
